Should be good old-fashioned old-school NFL-AFL clash in Dallas next month with 4 old-school teams left! Who do you want to see win it all?

Looking forward a GREAT week helping Agents grow their business and families get into homes!!! 2011 is going to be HUGE!

This common myth is stealing the dreams of millions of would-be homeowners – don’t let your friends, family or clients lose THEIR dreams to this terrible myth! Watch the video to find out more!

Dedicated to separating FACT from FICTION, TRUTH from LIES, REALITY from MYTHS – the Mortgage Mythbuster is here!! Check back weekly to see what YOU need to know about home financing!!  You will be STUNNED at the things you THOUGHT you knew that turn out to be BOGUS – just check out this week’s inaugural BUSTED MYTH about how long you have to “wait” to refinance after buying or refinancing again!

Having an awesome time at MIND BENDING retreat in Florida! My brain is getting full!

I was wrong.  I admit it.  Normally these words come hard for us – but not when we were wrong about something we thought would be bad hasn’t happen after all.  What am I talking about?  Well – Mortgage Rates (ok you can stop yawning and rolling your eyes now!)

You see, 6 months ago I would have expected mortgage rates to be a good bit higher than they are now – but then who KNEW the Fed was gonna buy $1.3 TRILLION in mortgages (thats 1.3 followed by 11 zeroes…).  How does that change things?  Well it puts a GORILLA in the market to buy up mortgages which (according to my microeconomics textbook) will drive UP prices of mortgage BONDS which in turn drives DOWN mortgage rates.  So if you are still with me on this….rates have stayed low and have even dropped below that magic 5% number in many cases – I would NOT have predicted this back in May – so I was WRONG…

In this case it’s a good WRONG to be – you can get AMAZING mortgages rates today (fixed under 5%, ARMs at 3.75%)  but like Christmas and winter snow this will NOT last – as the Fed caps off their buying in the next couple of months and the economy’s recovery becomes more widespread you can expect rates to head NORTH – experts say up by .5-1% by 3rd quarter next year…so if you or anyone you know is in the market to buy or refinance a home PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell them not to tarry! (ok that’s a Christmasy term for dawdle, procrastinate, etc)

Wishing you all a great Thanksgiving!

Gratitude

I did something really rare for me this weekend – I actually set work from the mortgage biz and work at home ASIDE for a couple of days and just enjoyed time with Susan, Carissa, Devin and Lauren.  Friday night we went to watch the Batesville High School team take on the #1 ranked team in the state for the Regional Football Championship – while they came up short in the end, the “DAWGS” played tough against a team much larger and faster – and with 3x as many players!  The place was JAMMED – great show of support by the community for these young men!  Gratefully no injuries!  This Batesville team was the first in school HISTORY to have a perfect regular season – woulda been nice to seem them move on up to the state finals – yet it was an awesome season!

Then Sat we were off to Greencastle for the annual Monon Bell Classic struggle between DePauw University and Wabash College – two small schools on the western edge of Indiana that have been slogging it out against each other in a rivalry going back over 120 years!  It was a perfect day for football – both on and off the field – 60s, sunny and slight breeze.  Total of something like 65 passes between the two teams – over 600 yards total offense so anything but boring!!  Wabash outlasted Depauw (this time) and reclaimed the bell – but the best part was just the energy and high-spirited rivalry – and pizza with our kids after – just a lovely day.  Grateful for the time together and the collective memories

Yesterday another picture perfect day  – some of the best worship time and teaching time at church for me in a while – guess I was prepped for it!

So look for things to be grateful for and you wont have far to look – count your blessings and turn off the news!!
